Hotel Continental

Date 1970

The Continental is built at the beginning of the 70's, modeling itself as a majestic cruise ship landed on the land and directly facing the seafront. The volumes follow dynamic configurations, generating a strong impact amplified by the recurring use of the plain material of the prospectuses that are followed by serial apertures or ribbon windows drawn from the nautical repertoire. Continental called for a new system of buildings that have developed a strong communication architecture that looks like a kind of city in the city, gathering in addition to the hotels and receptive spaces, a mix of functions and activities.
