Chiesa San Domenico

Date: 1998

The church was built from 1385 and was rebuilt and enriched in the 18th century with majestic stuccos and paintings but during the war period was severely damaged during the bombings of 1943

It has then been deserted and abandoned for decades until it was completely restored by the Sovereign Order of Malta in 1997 and re-opened to worship.

The works involved conservative restoration both of the main inquiry and of the volume beyond the reconstruction of a small volume destroyed by the war
